Pipetting, Cell Counting and Cell Culture

Omschrijving

Part of the Advanced Therapies Training Program (ATTP). Build the theoretical foundation of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), refresh your pipetting techniques in depth, carry out manual and automated cell counts, and get an introduction to mammalian cell culture and aseptic, sterile working. Practical lab sessions let you apply the theory straight away.

Programma

Six class days, worth 5 credits, taught in English. Day 1: theoretical introduction to ATMPs. Day 2: practical lab on correct pipetting, a theory session on cell culture, and a practical lab on cell counting. Day 3: introduction to sterile working in cell culture and practical lab cell culture 1. Day 4: practical lab cell culture 2. Day 5: practical lab cell culture 3. Day 6: assessment. Passing the micro-credential earns a certificate; passing all micro-credentials within ATTP earns an additional postgraduate certificate. Exact class dates are yet to be announced.

Target group: future operators in the production and quality control of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP). You either work in the biomedical, pharmaceutical, biotech or (bio)chemical sector and want to broaden your expertise towards cell and gene therapies, or you are a recent bachelor or master graduate in biomedical lab technology, pharmaceutical lab technology or (bio)chemistry. No prior knowledge of cell culture is required.

Price: 1300 euro, including lab experience and expert supervision. VAT is not applicable. No refund is possible on cancellation or withdrawal after the start.
